This motor can and is also used by many municipalities without skids as they like to just send down the motor alone

After these are welded into the 8” special short length they are zinc dipped for corrosion resistance and are truly beautiful

Problem was that these steel poles bend very easy and stay bent

As the locking dog slides in the groove a slight rotation will engage it firmly into the coupling center hole and hold the coupling securely while assembling the rod nuts. The spring loaded dog is disengaged by just one finger.
