TeleworkPH: Vision, Mission and Values Revisited
TeleworkPH
Published: March 4, 2019
Back in January, the TeleworkPH management met off-site for an intensive weekend of strategic planning and discussion. It was a rare time when we could all get together beyond our weekly Synergy meeting, and discuss the plans for the upcoming year.
Each department made an informative PowerPoint presentation focusing on how we can maintain and improve client care and satisfaction while keeping in line with company values and mission. We discussed future plans for TeleworkPH, and our own strategies for growth and expansion and spent some time strengthening our relationships with each other as a team.
Founder and CEO Marge Aviso (center) was pleased with the turnout and the progress we made. She reminded us that the motivator for her starting TeleworkPH was not just to make money, but to help people by empowering them with work based on their self-motivation and positive attitude. The RURAL BPO was started to find people to work in rural areas without them having to be separated from their families and crowded into Manila in order to make a decent wage. Her passion for humanity is inspiring.

“TeleWork PH was built not out of starting a business but because we caught ourselves in a situation where we all are about to lose our jobs. As the leader of the team, I had to choose between quitting and starting something new. I chose the latter and to say it was challenging is an understatement. Everyday I thought about quitting but my team is my deeper motivation. I cannot fathom the thought of these people telling their families they lost their jobs.”
One of the highlights of the weekend was a workshop given by international speaker, certified Jack Canfield trainer, and author, Sha Nacino. She led the group in visualizations, discussions, and exercises to recognize our strengths and use them to our advantage as well as our weaknesses and how to improve them. She also spoke extensively on goal setting and how to reach those goals through practice, patience, and self-discipline.
The final item on the weekend agenda was to revisit the TeleworkPH company’s Vision, Mission, and Values. We wanted to make sure we were in line with what we stood for and that we had not lost sight of who we are as a company. As a team, we took a hard look, scrutinized, and discussed these foundations of TeleworkPH. What we found is we were right on track with our:
